In group A Viborg is still ahead one point of Podravka, but the Croatians cancatch up or overtake the current title holder on Sunday by winning in Trondheim.
In group B Metz won their first match in this season –against Hypo that now didn’t reach a point in three consecutive matches and ranks fourth in group B.
Zvezda took revenge against Valcea in group C, but the 27:26 wasn’t enough to win the direct encounter against the Romanians that still lead the table. Györ is one more point behind Zvezda after beating Itxako.
The only draw in the Saturday’s matches was the 24:24 in the match Buducnost – Wolgograd that keeps both clubs in good position for reaching the main round. FCK will play against Larvik on Sunday.
