Double success of Zovko

Podravka Vegeta won their 15th Croatian Championship title and 14th Croatian Cup title in the club’s history.

The team of Zdravko Zovko won every single match this season in the Croatian Championship. He also took the Croatian Cup trophy back to Koprivnica.

Podravka Vegeta has been the best Croatian club traditionally, but last season Lokomotiva Zagreb took the Croatian Cup. It was very painful for handball fans in Koprivnica.

When Zdravko Zovko arrived at the beginning of the season, his goal was clear: to win back Croatian Cup trophy and to start building a strong team for the CL challenges. The cup is where it belongs and Podravka are stronger with every day.

Palcic retires, Horvat leaves

As it is normal in sports, teams are changing every year. After many years dedicated to Croatian handball, team captain Bozica Palcic played her last match for Podravka Vegeta. She is now 36 and will retire after this season.

She is not the only player who will not be part of the team next season. Lidija Horvat signed for Rulmentul Brasov. The Croatian right back will be scoring in the Romanian league next season.

With positive energy gained from the domestic titles, Podravka Vegeta are looking forward to a new season in the CL.
