The Men’s EHF Champions League Qualification Group 1 will be organised by A1 Bregenz (AUT).

Bregenz hosts second MCL Qualification Tournament

A total of eight teams take part in the two 2010/11 Men's EHF Champions League Qualification Tournaments, divided into two groups of four teams each.

While FC Porto/Vitalis (POR) will host the tournament of Group 2, the organiser of the Group 1 tournament will be A1 Bregenz (AUT). The qualification event will take place on their home court in the Handballarena Rieden-Vorkloster.

Besiktas JK (TUR) passed on the possession of the right to organise the tournament to the Austrians. The other two participating teams are Tatran Presov (SVK) and Drammen HK (NOR).

The winner of Qualification Group 1 in Bregenz will go into Men's EHF Champions League Group B, to meet three last year’s Quarterfinalists MKB Veszprém KC (HUN), Montpellier Agglomeration HB (FRA), HSV Hamburg (GER) as well as KIF Kolding (DEN) and newcomers IK Sävehof (SWE).

Both Men's EHF Champions League Qualification Tournaments (and also the Wild Card Tournament in Karlsruhe) will be played over the weekend of 3/4/5 September 2010.
