The results from the VELUX EHF Champions League qualification round

The draw for the VELUX EHF Champions League qualification tournaments was made at the EHF Office, Vienna on Tuesday, 3 July 2012. The draw was as follows:

Group 1

1. RK Sloga (BIH)
2. RK Partizan (SRB)
3. Porto Vitalis (POR)
4. HC Lovcen (MNE)

Group 2

1. HC Metalurg (MKD)
2. Haslum HK (NOR)
3. HC Dinamo Poltava (UKR)
4. Alpha HC Hard (AUT)

Group 3

1. HCM Constanta (ROU)
2. TATRAN Presov (SVK)
3. Maccabi Srugo Rishon Le Zion (ISR)
4. SSV Loacher Bozen Südtirol (ITA)

Matches will be played over the weekend 8/9 September 2012. Semi-final matches will be played 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3. Winners qualify directly for the VELUX EHF Champions League Group Phase.

Organisational right was drawn rows 2, 1, 4 and 3. In the case of Group 3 - where TATRAN Presov and Maccabi Srugo Rishon Lezio (ISR) both organised qualification tournaments last season - organisational right goes to HCM Constanta (ROU) and then SSV Loacher Bozen Südtirol (ITA).

Play-off match (Home and away)

Besiktas JK (TUR) versus HC Dinamo Minsk (BLR)

Minsk have the home right in the second leg.

Wildcard

3. Bjerringbro-Silkeborg (DEN)
4. Orlen Wisla Plock (POL)

No draw was conducted. A decision on the organiser of the Wildcard tournament will be released w/c 9 July 2012
