Itxako remain on top

With their third consecutive victory the Spanish champion from Estella made a great step towards the Main Round and kept the lead in Group B with six points. But this time Hypo was - in contrast to the first match (19:30) - an opponent on eye level and showed some great improvement to their previous games.

The match was equal over the whole 60 minutes, Hypo could count on two strong goalkeepers with 50 percent saved shots. Itxako played as real team unit and nearly all of its players scored. The returning Macarena Aguilar and Carmen Martín were the top scorers of the host with five goals each, whilst do Nascimento scored six times for the guests. With their third victory in four games the Spaniards kept their favourite role in the group, and Hypo, ranked third at the moment, can still go on to the Main Round despite only one win up to now.

On Sunday Hungarian Debrecen will host Leipzig and try to take revenge for the defeat in Germany.
