Zvezda sign Olga Sanko

Although the 29-year old Russian international had contract for this season with the Spanish club Mar Alicante, both parties agreed to terminate it in December. After four CL seasons with Hypo, Sanko will play her fifth season for Zvezda Zvenigorod.

She already made 11 saves and a 38% performance at her debut in the 17th round of the Russian championship. The match between Zvezda and Luch ended with a 37:29. The best scorer of the match was Elena Polenova with 10 goals.

Sanko is not the only reinforcement coming to Zvenigorod. Just before the Main Round Evgeniy Trefilov decided to sign right winger Mariya Boklaschuk. The 28-year old Ukrainian international will arrive from Sagunto and this will be her 2nd CL season.

The two players will debut for Zvezda in the CL already on Saturday against Viborg.
