SANJA JOVOVIC: Knee operation

Buducnost T-Mobile will miss Sanja Jovovic for a while, because of a knee injury. Jovovic had to undergo a meniscus surgery on her right knee on Wednesday, and she will have to rest at least for few weeks.

The experienced back, who played two seasons in Denmark (Ikast Bording), left the hospital on Thursday, knowing that doctor Miroslav Kezunovic did a good job.

“Well, this is not a great period for me, because I wanted to be ready for the start of the new season, especially for the beginning of the Champion League. Unfortunately, this is the third time that I have to be operated on my right knee. Anyway, the surgery was successful and the comeback depends on me. I hope that I will be on court as soon as possible,” Sanja Jovovic told Eurohandball.com.

Sanja Jovovic was out of court since the middle of September, after a tournament in Ljubljana (Slovenia). She is not the only injured player of Buducnost. Tone Tiselj cannot count on right back Jovana Jovovic (tendon surgery) and goalkeeper Itana Perovic (groin injury).
