The players from theSlovenian club Krim Mercator were surprisingly calmafter the women’s semifinal draw, which took place in Vienna on Tuesday. Afterall, they were all in agreement that it was not really important who their nextopponent in the Champions League was to be, as they have already experiencedtheir miracle in their quarterfinal match against LadaTogliatti.
After Saturday's matchcoach Tone Tiselj sent his players away with theorder to relax and recuperate, so the players who have been under a lot ofpressure recently having been relaxing in a Spa for the past few days. Amongthem was TanjaOder, who isa very valuable player in Krim reiterated how happy the team actually is thesedays: “Nobody believed that we would make it to the 1/2 final except ourselves.We made a historical win, so we do not think about 1/2 finals yet.” saidTanja Oder who was part of all Krim's successes in past years. The 31 year old Slovenian nationalplayer admits that she does not know Team Aalborg verywell. "I know that it has some great individuals from Norway and Denmarkand what I am sure about is that we must not repeat some of our badperformances in this season. I think if we play our typical match we can beclose to final."
Krim wants to play intheir fifth CL final, in all previous competitions the team was under supervisionof coach Tone Tiselj who said after the draw: "Aalborg is in my opinion one of most qualitative teams atthe moment and probably one of richest. What is important for us? To focus on our play and to improve once again in ourdefence." Tiselj will after six years ofsuccess leave Krim after this season.
