TO PLAY WITH A "CLEAR MIND" TO PLAY WITH A “CLEAR MIND” There is only one simple question: Is Danish Aalborg able to surprise and defeat Krim Mercator on home soil on Sunday and for the first time in history take part in a Champions League final? For sure, it will be very difficult as Krim has an eight goals advantage from the first leg match in Denmark on Monday night. Proud of his players The team from the Slovenian capital must not repeat the performances from Larvik or Togliatti. That is the ultimate goal for coach Tone Tiselj. “I only wish for one thing since I am the coach of Krim: To take care of the club's values. To fight, to play unselfish and to be great in the defence,” Krim’s coach Tone Tiselj told eurohandball.com before the return match. Tiselj was very proud of his players after the match in Denmark and he knows that Aalborg can surprise with different tactics - yet also knows what Krim is capable of, despite of injuries. No underestimation The new captain Tanja Oder who has ankle problems commented before the match: “We have to forget about the first match and start from the beginning like it would be 0:0.” Of course, a “clean mind” will be very important. Any underestimation of the Danes can bring a disaster and Krim Ljubljana is eager to fill their fans with enthusiasm. “Our goal is to continue playing on a top level and make as little mistakes as possible. We showed our quality and received only 16 goals in the first match. I think no club in Europe is so successful in the defence,” the wing player sees the tactic of reaching the 2005/2006 Champions League finals. The second leg match between Krim Ljubljana Mercator and Aalborg DH will be played on Sunday at 16.30. If Krim advances, this would be their fifth final in the most important European club competition. Text: Maja Mastnak, SiOL-Sportal
