ELDA QUALIFIES FOR THE NEXT ROUND!

Orsan Elda Prestigio got thepoint they needed against Tertnes to qualify for the next stage of theChampions League.

After winning 33-25 againstTertnes in Bergen in their opening match of the Champions League, Orsan EldaPrestigio needed only one point in their home meeting with the Norwegians tosecure their place in the next stage of the tournament.

Tertnes knew that only a winwould be good enough to keep their Champions League-dream alive. In addition,the Norwegians got of to a flying start, leading 3-0 in Spain. However, theexperienced home team came back and were leading for most of the match, but inthe closing minutes, the nerves got to them.

Three minutes from the end,Tertnes were leading 28-26, only to see Orsan come back yet again and 15seconds before the final signal, they equalized.

Tertnes got a last chance,but the free throw from Anne Petersen Waage ended in nothing.

Orsan Elda Prestigio willfollow Krim Ljubljana to the next stage of the Champions League, while Tertnesnow need at least a point from their home meeting with DIN Nis to take thethird place in Group D and qualify for the Cupwinners Cup.

Hege Vikebö was the topscorer for Tertnes with nine goals and Silvana Ilic scoring seven goals forOrsan.
