Balić and Lazarov to Al-Sadd

After being beaten in the Last 16 of the EHF Champions League, HC Croatia Osiguranje-Zagreb have now agreed to lend out players for the Super Globe tournament in Qatar.

Ivano Balić, Kiril Lazarov and Jakov Gojun are ready to play for Qatar’s handball club Al-Sadd. Additionally Tonči Valčić and Denis Špoljarić will play for the club Al Sad from Lebanon. The players will sign a two-week contract.

Two strong groups

Last season’s Super Globe winner, the Spanish team of Ciudad Real will play in Group A against the Pan-American representative Unopar Fel from Brazil and Zamalek Club from Egypt.

In Group B the host club Al-Sadd from Qatar meet Al Sad from Lebanon and the AHF Southern Stars from Australia, the representative of Oceania.

The 2010 International Handball Federation (IHF) Super Globe will take place from 17-21 May 2010 at the Al Sadd Sports Club in Qatar.
