Men’s CL playing schedule

On 24 June 2009, the groups of the 2009/10 Men’s EHF Champions League were drawn in Vienna in a joint event with the EHF Women’s Champions League and the EHF EURO 2010.

As the EHF had previously announced, the individual playing schedules in each group were adapted in order to ensure the best possible TV coverage for the matches – at the same time keeping all technical aspects in mind. This goes in line with the EHF Champions League Regulations and is common procedure for already some seasons.

The next step of the procedure will be defining the exact playing dates and times. This is subject mainly to a dialogue between the EHF Marketing and the TV partners, taking the local traditions into account.

CL start

The CL season will throw off with the Qualification Tournaments (4-6 September 2009). The winners of these tournaments will join the Champions League group phase.
