Group E derby tonight

Chehovskie and Portland will meet in Russia for the Group E derby this evening. It seems probable that these two teams will fight for the first place in their group and they both started their CL campaign with victories.

Chehovskie have beaten Cimos Koper last weekend in Slovenia. It was a high quality game with a superb second half in Koper. Meanwhile Portland won easily against Steaua in Pamplona.

The Russian Timor Dibirov was in big form scoring ten goals.

The Spanish side suffer from injuries and this will be a problem in defence mainly. Coach Chechu Villaldea cannot count on Juancho Perez and Dominikovic yet, but there’s also a new problem: Ivan Nikcevic will be out for a month.

The Serbian winger suffered a knee injury during the Asobal League game in Cuenca.

Flensburg host Haukar

The other game of the day is clear on paper. The top team of Flensburg will host a relatively inexperienced Icelandic squad. And though the Germans lost their first game while Haukar started with two points, a guest success would be a major surprise this time.
