Sterbik returns in good form

Ciudad Real will have to secure their place in the semi-finals next weekend. Talant Djusebaiev has good news before the match against Gorenje: Árpád Sterbik is back. The Serbian-born goalkeeper was injured for a couple of weeks, but now he is okay again.

Coach Dujshebaev can be optimistic before the last roundsIn addition, Sterbik returned in good form. The goalkeeper showed this at the Asobal game against Granollers. The statistics speak clearly: Sterbik saved 46% of the shots (19 saves from 41). Sterbik was helped a lot for his mates to win this game easily.

Of course, the performance of Sterbik was not everything. Ciudad had a strong defence with Dinart, Pajovic and the others.

The two players missing from the squad, Chema and Metlicic, were also perfectly replaced by Entrerrios and Stefansson. The Icelandic international backcourt player scored ten goals in the last match and he takes the right back position alone.

The Ciudad Real wingers are also in form. Masachs and Kallman scored from fast breaks and converted the good defensive work of the others in goals.

With the team apparently in form, Ciudad are favourites to reach the CL semi-finals. The Spanish only have to wait for the decisive next round when they will host Gummersbach.
