Happens rarely: the ball gets past PuljezevicThe teams started on a high speed, but Pick were more effective in attack and too a 7-2 lead by the 11th minute.

Coach Obrvan tried to call a time-out to stop the hosts and with the goals of Kavas Velenje could come a little closer.

Ghionea got his second suspension in the 21st minute, but Puljezevic saved 7-m shot and clear scoring opportunity as well in this period. And Bajusz was the leader of Szeged in this phase.

The teams played very fast handball and the players made fouls to stop the opponents. However, the Spanish referees were ready to punish all these fouls immediatley. The first half ended 15-11.

Puljezevic proved after the break that he feels at home in both goals. Zvizej, Ghionea and Bajusz were impossible to stop and Szeged had an 8-goal lead already by the 40th minute.

Two happy teams

Gorenje tried to finish the attacks on the wings and brought back goalkeeper Seier. It worked well and the goals of Blazevic and Bashkin closed the gap.

Puljezevic gave his place to Marjanac for the last 8 minutes and he also paid confidence back.

Pick reached a deserved 30-23 victory to conserved spotless record after five rounds.

As Sarajevo were defeated in Brest by six goals, Gorenje Velenje are also sure to go on to the Main Round despite this defeat.
