Flensburg to continue positive trend

Flensburg won 37:20 on Wednesday evening in the Bundesliga against HSG Wetzlar. You could sense the relief in the sports hall of SG Flensburg-Handewitt. It was a home victory at last after three defeats out of four home matches. However, there was no euphoria in Flensburg that has been shocked by a crisis recently.

“This is just another step to make a much feared home court of Campushalle again,” said sports director, Anders Dahl-Nielsen,

Beuter hopes that the last victory will help the team out of the crisisOn Sunday at 18.30, the match against Drammen HK should continue this upwards trend. “We want to go on with the momentum that we gain from the Wetzlar game,” said team manager, Fynn Holpert.

“We will play against Drammen with some more self-confidence,“ said the goalkeeper, Dan Beutler. It is essential to win against the Norwegian champions and also in Lubin to reach the second place of the group and to reach the expected qualification to the second group phase.

Drammen HK also won on Wednesday by 32:31 against Haugaland in the Norwegian lead and they consolidated their place on the top. All Flensburg players will be ready for the game against them. Blazenko Lackovic, whose name was sang half an hour after the match by some of the fans, returns to the team after a knee ligament injury. In addition, Michael Knudsen, should also be healthy by Sunday.
