THW Kiel signs up reinforcement

THW Kiel, the Champions League semi-finalist, have signed up former Spanish national team player Andrei Xepkin. The club has made this move due to recent injury problems in the THW camp, and especially following the serious injury to Marcus Ahlm on Sunday in the Champions League semi-final match. Xepkin retired from playing in the summer of 2005 but has a long and successful career with FC Barcelona behind him, and already has a Champions League title under his belt.

He is nearly 41 years of age and will be putting on the black and white Kiel shirt for the first time for the match on Friday in the Ostseehalle.
