Clash of the Giants in the Bundesliga

Full house guaranteed in the amazing Kiel arenaSimilarly to the Spanish CL semi-finalists, the German clubs also play domestic league games this weekend.

The German teams are no different from the Spanish ones. They also have to fight very difficult domestic games while saving the form and fitness for the CL semi-finals.

Bundesliga goes on with top matches such as Gummersbach vs Kiel and Hamburg vs Flensburg (current top four teams on the league table). No surprise that the most important information on the club websites are related to ticket sales.

Record breaking attendance

19,400 (!) fans are expected to visit Kölnarena to support mostly Gummersbach.

Incredible spectators figures are not even surprising if we think about the attendance figures of recent Champions League matches in Germany.

Few tickets left in FlensburgGummersbach played in front of 16,400 fans against Valladolid in the quarterfinals in Kölnarena. This figure is a new Champions League record. Kiel were also supported by over 10,000 against Veszprém, while the 7,200 seats of the Flensburg arena were also sold out.

As the ticket sales progress – there are only hundreds available for the Flensburg game – full house can be expected for the semi-finals again.
