All public broadcasters in Germany can report on the EHF Champions League, EHF Cup and Cup Winners’ Cup.

EHF and SportA extend cooperation

Munich - SportA, the joint rights agency of the public broadcasting companies and EHF Marketing, the marketing arm of the European Handball Federation for club competitions, have made notification of resumed collaboration in the Men’s 2009/2010 European Cup season. With this agreement, all public broadcasters in Germany can in the future report on the handball matches in the Champions League, the EHF Cup and the Cup Winners’ Cup.

Axel Balkausky, Sport Coordinator ARD: “The many handball fans in Germany can look forward to more regular reporting especially from the handball Champions League in the first and third programs.”

Dieter Gruschwitz, ZDF Sport Director: “Also in the future, ZDF will offer the ideal service for all handball fans with brief account bulletins on international handball in sport and newscasts.”

Peter Vargo, Managing Director of EHF Marketing: “We are pleased to have presence, also in the future, in attractive and wide reaching programs of the public broadcasting company. With the continuation of this cooperation, in addition to the live transmission from our partner Eurosport, we view the further development of our competitions with optimism.”
