 Handball joins a charity initiative to help German Cancer Aid with various special prizes put on auction.

Handball, known by the public as a dynamic, developing and spectacular teamsport, is ready to lend its energy to a good cause: the biggest handball-charity action in history has been launched in Germany. The EHF Marketing supports the initiative. The help provided by the German first division handball clubs is based on a unique idea. All the teams have put on auction via eBay some special experience for the fans. The fans who are ready to enter the auction and offer the highest amount of money for the various prizes offered by the clubs will financially support the Deutsche Krebshilfe (German Cancer Aid), a non-profit organisation founded in 1974 that fights all manifestations of cancer. The EHF Marketing offers two Champions League VIP tickets for a Main Round game in Germany. This includes hospitality by the hosting team and also the match ball as a gift after the game. All Bundesliga clubs are part of the initiative. Prizes include VIP packages “with extras” such as meeting the stars, having a lunch with the team, joining the training of THW Kiel or playing golf with Flensburg’s Lars Christiansen… The fans can bid and support the charity action from 18-26 November 2008 on eBay.
