Swedish Reinforcement in GOG
GOG Svendborg TGI signs Magnus Jernemyr. The Danish champions, seeded in Pot 1 for the draw of the first Champions League group phase, have signed a three-year contract with the Swedish international player.
The 31-year old pivot and defensive specialist arrives from Spanish BM Torrevieja. Jernemyr already has some CL experience with Swedish Redbergslied.
“I signed for GOG Svendborg TGI to improve as a handball player. I believe that GOG are very interesting team. With coach Ulf Schefvert, I think we will have a good chance to defend the championship title and to get far in the Champions League,” said Jernemyr, who was called up 35 times for Sweden.
Fifth new player
Magnus Jernemyr will start trainings for the upcoming season with his new team on 16 July. Jernemyar is the fifth new player of GOG. The Danish champions already signed Icelandic internationals Asgeir Örn Hallgrimsson and Snurri Gudjonsson from Bundesliga clubs, TBV Lemgo and GWD Minden. Swedish international Olof Ask arrives from Swedish side, HK 43, while Danish right winger, Dennis Kirkegaard, comes from Team Tvis Holstebro.
These players should fill in the gaps left by the 8 players who left the club since the end of last season.
